Executive Director
Fabiola Ramirez
My name is Fabiola Ramirez. I was born April 16th and I am originally from Mexico. I live with my husband
and my lovely daughter. I am full time Executive Director for Busy Bees centers. I have my associate
degree in early childhood education, and currently working towards my bachelor’s degree at National Louis University. I have enjoyed my journey at Busy Bees for the past 9 years. I’ve had the opportunity to
professionally grow from assisting in a preschool classroom, to being an early Headstart lead teacher, then becoming a site director to take on the challenge of overseeing Busy Bees centers as the Executive Director. My teaching philosophy is that every child is capable of learning, therefore as an administrator I make
sure to motivate and lead teachers to implement diverse and adequate activities where students will feel included and allowed to explore their interests and continue their learning and achieving their
developmentally appropriate milestones.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family, enjoy relaxing time at home, and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching a movie.

Site Director
Shawn Barber
Hello! My name is Mr. Shawn. I am the site director at Busy Bees II in Chinatown. I have been working with students from preschool to 3rd grade for the past 12 years. I believe that as educators, we should always be helping children learn, grow, make strides to meet their goals, and find their inner voices. I find it essential to look at each individually to understand where they are in the learning process. By doing this, educators are truly able to help the children in their classroom. If a student is struggling to understand something, we as educators must find the time and resources to teach the child what is not being learned before further learning can progress. Continually reaching for higher goals for each child is a necessity, and learning is a process. It cannot be rushed. It should be differentiated and equitable to reach the individual needs of each child. In my free time I enjoy binge watching Netflix, cooking, and playing with my dog, Rico.

Site Director
Rubi Rodriguez
Hello Everyone! I am the Site Director for Busy Bees After School 600 Center! I am also
the lead teacher of our Blue Room. I work with all ages but mainly with 2nd grade
through 5th grade. I have worked with children for over 15 years.
I received my Associate's Degree in Art and Child Development in 2015, and my
Bachelor's in Elementary Education with an English in Minor from National Louis
University in 2021. During my free time I like to go to an Art Class, or go on mini road
trips!
“I believe a teacher should be a mentor, an educator, and a role model to the
students. I want to create a classroom where students can flourish and explore their full
potential using educational, and fun hands-on activities. I want them to build on their
cognitive,and academic learning skills.”

Assistant Director
Isela Macias
Hello! My name is Isela Macias and I am the Assistant Director/Teacher at our 600 location. I work with children of all ages and I currently work with our 6th-8th students. I believe that in order to build student-teacher relationships it is important to get to know the child first and make connections with them. This will help us understand who they are and how they learn best. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, trying out new cuisines and making puzzles.
